3. LMMLC Award Winners!
Congratulations to the Midget C team (coach Jeremy Pratt) for winning the Midget C "Fair Play Award" for the 2009 Season.
Congratulations are also in order for the PeeWee C team (Rick Taylor coach) for winning the PeeWee C League title (and banner). Both awards were
announced at the 2009 Lower Mainland Minor Lacrosse Commission AGM in November.
4. VKMLA AGM and Awards Night

5. NLL Box Lacrosse in Everett, WA!
The Washington Stealth are a new NLL Franchise based out of Comcast Areaa in Everett, Washington. Home games are on Friday and Sturday nights
Tickets range from $13-$42(US). More info can be found HERE.
6. Midget Nationals: Team BC wins bronze!
Team BC's Midget team (with VKMLA's David McSkimming) avenged a preliminary round loss to Alberta by winning the bronze medal, 7-6, in double overtime at the Midget National's!
Ontario, undefeated in the preliminary round, lost 11-7 to Iroquois who took home gold.

The Vancouver Minor Lacrosse Association (VMLA) is the sole governing body responsible for administering Canada's National Summer Sport for youth aged five to sixteen throughout Vancouver. It is a small association with just over 200 players and in its commitment to enhance the growth and development of the sport of lacrosse, the Association provides guidance, direction, and stability to its members through strong, proactive, and ethical leadership. Our mission is to: (i) develop the game of lacrosse in Vancouver in a sustainable manner while preserving the heritage and integrity of the sport, and (ii) promote and practice the Fair Play Codes throughout the Association for players, coaches, referees, volunteers, and spectators. The VKMLA oversees youth box lacrosse (March - July), youth field  lacrosse (August - March), and female-only box lacrosse. Please note that all minor players, male and female, that live in Vancouver must register with VMLA.
Vancouver Senior Lacrosse (VSL) is the governing body responsible for administering lacrosse in the Intermediate (under 18), Junior (under 21), and Senior (no age limit) box lacrosse leagues. VSL also oversees Men's Field Lacrosse and Women's Box Lacrosse in Vancouver. Please contact Shawn Joinson or Terry Kirstiuk for more information.
