General League Play Info

VKMLA league play is governed by the Lower Mainland Minor Lacrosse Commission (box) and the Pacific Coast Field Lacrosse League (field). At the Mini-Tyke level, game are "half-floor" with 3 "runners" and a goalie on each team. The smaller teams at Mini-Tyke are designed to generate more "touches with the ball" and, consequently, stick skills in the youngest players. Read more HERE. Field Lacrosse Registration 2011-2012 is now CLOSED! Please check back in August 2012.

The 2012 box lacrosse training (and league season) will begin in March (April). For general information on registration for 2012 see the registration page for information or click on the icon on the right side of this page.

Tavares Credits Lacrosse for Hockey Success

John Tavares, who helped Canada win Gold at the 2008 World Junior Hockey Championships in Ottawa credits his lacrosse playing days with helping him develop "scorer's hands" around the hockey net. The full article can be read HERE.

Bingo Volunteers

The VKMLA receives gaming funds that are critical to the association's viability. In turn, we must supply volunteers to work short (3 hr) shifts at Planet Bingo (between 11th and 12th on Main Street). Basically, volunteers just assist the "Planet Bingo" staff with simple duties.

Our next dates for fulfilling our obligations are:

Each volunteer receives a $35 credit towards current or upcoming lacrosse registration fees (via a refund). If you can volunteer for one or more of these assignments, please contact the Bingo Coordinator for more information.
